Seafood Quarantine Information
- Travelers carrying live fish, shellfish, crustaceans, or frozen/refrigerated abalone, oysters, and shrimp must check the relevant box on the customs declaration form and submit it to a quarantine officer for inspection.
- For species susceptible to aquatic animal diseases (such as white spot syndrome and 21 other diseases), a quarantine certificate issued by the exporting country must be submitted.
Failure to declare aquatic animals may result in a fine of up to KRW 1 million.
Products that are cooked or dried are not subject to inspection.

STEP 01 Filling Out the Declaration Form
- Complete the relevant section of the customs declaration form
- Fill out the Aquatic Animal Declaration Form

STEP 02 Declaration
- Verbally declare to the aquatic animal quarantine officer
