Guidelines for Accompanying Pets at the Airport

Applicable Pets

Pets such as dogs (excluding aggressive breeds under the Animal Protection Act), cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and hamsters are allowed according to the Animal Protection Act and its Enforcement Rules.
Other live animals (including aggressive breeds under the Animal Protection Act) are only permitted for entry and exit purposes, and a dedicated carrier (cage) is required.

Service dogs with appropriate identification for disabled individuals are exempt (leash allowed).

Make sure to use a dedicated carrier indoors!
Pets must be transported in a dedicated carrier while inside the terminal, parking lots, and other indoor areas. However, in exceptional circumstances, a leash (approximately 50 cm) or a stroller may be used.
Please keep your pet close to you with a leash no longer than 50 cm.
The airport is a public facility used by many people. For the consideration of other passengers, please make sure that your pet stays close to you at all times.
Dangerous dogs are allowed only for entry and exit!
Dangerous dogs* must use a dedicated cage for safety and are only permitted to visit for entry or exit.
Waste disposal is the responsibility of the companion!
Please bring with you waste bags and tissues in advance, and immediately clean up after your pet. If you do not have waste bags, please inquire at the information desk.

Please be aware that if your pet causes inconvenience to other airport users, your access to the airport may be restricted.

Before traveling, check the animal quarantine requirements of the destination country with the relevant animal quarantine agency or the embassy of the destination country in Korea. Make sure all requirements are met.

Preparation for Entry	When bringing a pet (dog or cat) into Korea from abroad, you must obtain a quarantine certificate issued by the government agency of the exporting country. ※ Additional documentation is required for Australia and Malaysia, so please prepare all necessary documents before departure.
