Eligibility for Smart Entry Service (SES)
Eligible Individuals and Procedures	Citizens	Holders of Resident Registration Cards		Use directly without prior registration ※ However, if 30 years have passed since the issuance of the resident registration card, prior registration is recommended.
		Non-Holders of Resident Registration Cards	Age 14 and above	Use after prior registration
		Non-Holders of Resident Registration Cards	Age 7 to 14	Use after prior registration accompanied by a legal guardian ※ Required Documents 1) If the father or mother is the legal guardian - Parent’s ID, applicant’s (detailed) certificate of basic information, and certificate of family relationship 2) If the legal guardian is someone other than the parents - Legal guardian’s ID, applicant’s (detailed) certificate of basic information, and documents confirming the relationship (court ruling, etc.)
	Foreign Nationals	Short-term Foreign Residents (age 17 and above)		Allowed to use departure immigration without prior registration
		Holders of Alien Registration Cards (Residency)	Age 17 and above	Use without prior registration
			Age 14 and above	Use after prior registration
			Age 7 to 14	Use after prior registration accompanied by a legal guardian ※ Required Documents 1) If the father or mother is the legal guardian - Parent’s passport or alien registration card, and documents confirming the family relationship issued by their government (including Korean embassies) 2) If the legal guardian is someone other than the parents - Legal guardian’s ID, and documents confirming the relationship (court ruling, etc.)
