K-Culture Museum
"Located at the Transportation Center of Incheon Airport's Terminal 1, the K-Culture Museum invites all visitors including travelers, local residents, students, and children to enjoy its exhibits for free, any time of the year. The K-Culture Museum was renovated from its former “Vivid Space”—a media exhibition hall—into an expansive 1,189 ㎡ interactive exhibition space. The new venue consists of six exhibition and interactive spaces including two LED interactive centers and a large media facade on its exterior. At Media Facade and Exhibition Halls #1 and #2, a collection of 12 immersive contents with Korean nature and journeys into unknown worlds as theme is presented as part of a permanent exhibit, combining state-of-the-art digital technology and art. In particular, the five-meter-high media facade captivates visitors with two distinct works of “Imaginary Sea”—which evokes the sensation of gliding through the ocean depths—and “Gemstone,” a kinetic art piece that portrays the texture of jewels. Exhibition Halls #3 and #4 feature 10 pieces that integrate cutting-edge technology and artistic vision, including interactive works such as “Dream Flight” and “Landmarks of the World,” as well as “Layered Rhythm” by next-generation media artist Vakki. * Operating hours: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Closed every last Wednesday of the month), group inquiries: 032-741-1509."

Korean Cultural Street
The Korean Cultural Street located at the center of the 4th floor in the General Area of the Passenger Terminal 1 is built with giwajip (houses with tiled roofs) and jeongja (gazebo) representing the traditional Korean house so that passengers can relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the passenger terminal. On the inside of the main gate, the interactive digital experience facility provides an interesting experience where you can feel the nature and culture of Korea.

Transparent LED
Transparent LED does not disrupt the transparency of windows and displays a floating video in the air by the emittance of light from tiny LED devices inserted at 4 cm intervals. Viewers can enjoy both the outside scenery and the projected cutting-edge video. * This media wall was created in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Administration, National Palace Museum of Korea, and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation to promote the excellence of Korea's traditional culture.

Kinetic Jogakbo (Traditional Patchwork)
Jogakbo (traditional patchwork) is made up of colorful pieces of cloth and creates beautiful patterns with a variety of colors. It is installed on the windows like a moving blind, lighting up the arrival hall in colorful hues. * This media wall was created in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Administration, National Palace Museum of Korea, and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation to promote the excellence of Korea's traditional culture.

LED Media Wall (Traditional Culture)
1. Joseon Royal Bojagi (Wrapping Cloths) - Vivid colors and depictions of Joseon royal bojagi (wrapping cloths) and its texture reproduced in 3D demonstrate the aesthetics and artistry unique to the royal court of the Joseon dynasty. (Running time: 4' 15") 2. Digital Mother-of-pearl Lacquerware - The works of national intangible cultural heritage—Lee Hyeong-man (Najeonjang artisan of mother-of-pearl inlaying) and Jeong Su-hwa (Chiljang artisan of lacquerware-making)—as well as those of Seoul intangible cultural heritage—Sohn Dae-hyun (Najeonjang artisan)—are filmed at a high resolution, and every piece of design is reproduced as if it has come to life. Stark black-and-white contrast and brilliant reflection of light of lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl, which has been impossible to be fully expressed, are digitalized for the first time. (Running time: 4' 2") 3. Traditional Dance - The dynamic moves of Korean traditional dance, such as seungmu (dance performed by Buddhist monks), taepyeongmu (dance wishing a great peace for the country), and ganggangsullae (dance wishing to bring about a bountiful harvest), have been reproduced close to the actual size. For colorful production, it was shot at a large studio and features the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation's Performing Arts Company. (Running time: 4') 4. Digital Haerye - Digital Haerye expressed in Hangeul emphasizes not only the function as a written and spoken language, but also formativeness and aesthetics that Hangeul consonants and vowels possess, and it is made to enable intuitive recognition even for foreigners who are not familiar with Hangeul. * This media wall was created in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Administration, National Palace Museum of Korea, and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation to promote the excellence of Korea's traditional culture.

Traditional Door Frame (Variation of Overlap)
In traditional Korean architecture, sliding paper doors divided or connected the inside and the outside by a single sheet of hanji. Thin door frames, which hold the hanji, with newly interpreted metallic patterns are expressed as a variation of overlaps and changes created by the piercing light. * This media wall was created in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Administration, National Palace Museum of Korea, and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation to promote the excellence of Korea's traditional culture.

Melody of Light

15 Benches (So-san Kim)
So-san Kim's "15 Benches" is a 15-piece modular public art installation that materializes a picture reinterpreting images of repetitive flowers and traditional patterns full of history, which is expressed using Korean nacre as furniture.
