Established in 2008, the Incheon Airport Aviation Academy (IAAA) has been providing specialized training to aviation professionals from around the world. The various educational programs offered by IAAA, including institutionally accredited training and customized courses, are designed with focus on practical knowledge, case studies, and on-site airport inspections, all closely associated with enhancing the operational competencies necessary for addressing real-world professional challenges. IAAA prides itself on a team of seasoned experts across various fields, dedicated to imparting in-depth knowledge and operational expertise in airport management to all trainees.

As of 2023, the Incheon Airport Aviation Academy stands as the sole aviation-focused educational institution in the Asia-Pacific region certified by the world’s three major international aviation organizations: ACI (Airports Council International), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), and IATA (International Air Transport Association). To date, it has offered a wide array of training courses to over 10,000 aviation professionals from 150 countries around the globe.
In March 2011, IAAA made history by becoming the first institution in the world to receive ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS certification. It further distinguished itself as the first airport entity worldwide to be granted eligibility to participate in jointly certified programs by ICAO and ACI in 2022.

The Incheon Airport Aviation Academy has actively expanded its collaborative network—not only with educational institutions but also with governmental and private organizations—both domestically and internationally. Under the shared objective of advancing the aviation industry and nurturing specialized human resources, the Academy has engaged in various initiatives including on-site lectures, invited training sessions, and consulting projects with partner institutions, all aimed at exchanging expertise in airport operations and delivering tangible outcomes.
