As the first airport in the Asia-Pacific region to obtain ACI Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) in 2020, Incheon Airport has retained its accreditation for three years in a row, solidifying its reputation for world-class pandemic control protocols. Building on this achievement, Incheon International Airport successfully obtained the newly introduced Public Health & Safety Readiness Accreditation after COVID-19, validating its preparedness against sudden pandemics.
AHA(Airport Health Accreditation)
The AHA (Airport Health Accreditation) program operated by ACI evaluates the implementation of health and safety measures against COVID-19, certifying the airport as a safe, clean facility.
Incheon Airport acquired the prestigious AHA certification as the first in the Asia-Pacific region in 2020—receiving outstanding evaluations in 122 fields across 10 categories including airport infrastructure, operations, and passenger protection—through proactive quarantine measures and establishment of a master plan.
Incheon Airport successfully renewed its certification, securing recognition across 73 fields in 5 categories particularly for its implementation of a contactless smart quarantine system and infrastructure development.
Rated as a best practice in public health response systems, Incheon International Airport obtained the nation’s first-ever Public Health & Safety Readiness Accreditation.
