Prohibiting the international transfer of cultural heritage
Transfer out of the country only allowed in the case of approval from the Director of the Cultural Heritage Administration for the purposes of international cultural exchange
In order to receive transfer approval, you must submit an application to the Director of the Cultural Heritage Administration 3 months in advance.
In the case of exporting or transferring without approval, you will be punishable under the Cultural Heritage Protection Act (minimum 3 years of imprisonment)
Any goods that might be mistaken to be cultural heritage should be appraised at the Cultural Heritage Appraisal Room at least 3 hours before departure.
