Companion animal departure quarantine
- To bring your companion animal (dog or cat) abroad, you must meet the quarantine conditions of the destination country. Before leaving the country, please check with the destination country's embassy or the animal quarantine office in Korea.
- Before departure (including day of departure), visit the Animal and Plant Quarantine Inspection Office in the airport with your companion animal and required documents (certificate of vaccination, health certificate, etc.), and request inspection. You will be issued a certificate of quarantine after document screening and clinical test.
- After being issued a certificate of quarantine, go to the check-in counter for the boarding procedure and then board the aircraft.
- If you plan on returning to Korea with your companion animal within a short period of time, please check the documents (rabies antibody test result, microchip, etc.) required by the Korean quarantine regulations in advance.
Plant export quarantine
- Check with the destination country's embassy or plant quarantine agency if you can enter the country with the plants, their requirements for a certificate of plant quarantine, etc.
- On the day of departure, visit the Animal and Plant Quarantine Inspection Office at the airport and request inspection. You will be issued a certificate of quarantine after inspection. Plant quarantine systems and regulations vary by nation.
