✅ 2024 Paris Olympic Cheering Campaign for the National Team
Incheon Airport has installed large banners to support the national team of the Paris Olympics!
At Departure Hall of Terminal 2, we has prepared banners featuring athletes’ profile photos, cheering phrases, and a world map with the names of 224 athletes.
Let’s hope that Team Korea has taken this positive energy to do well in the Paris Olympics and Paralympics!
✅ Mountaineer Hong-gil Um, Appointed as Incheon Airport's Honorary Ambassador
Incheon Airport has appointed Mountaineer Hong-gil Um as its new honorary ambassador.
Hong-gil Um has been known for the first person in the world to summit all 16 of the 8,000-meter peaks in the Himalayas, as well as his continuous charitable efforts.
By appointing him as the honorary ambassador, we are expecting to enhance the brand value of Incheon Airprot and strengthen communication with the public.
He will participate in various promotional activities over the next three years, such as informing the grand opening of expanded Terminal 2.
✅ Partnership Agreement for Parking Robot Implementation
Incheon Airport has signed a partnership agreement with HL Mando to introduce the autonomous parking robots.
The parking robot, named "Paki", is set to start testing at Terminal 2 in October.
We expect that the implementation of the parking robot improves efficiency of parking space by over 30% and enhances passengers' satisfaction.
✅ Partnership Agreement for Intelligent CCTV for Enhanced Security
Incheon Airport has signed a partnership agreement with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) to introduce intelligent CCTV.
With AI-based CCTV, we aim to strengthen airport security and passenger safety, alongside performance evaluations and data collection.
We have worked hard to enhance the security level at Incheon Airport to ensure a safe environment for all travelers!
✅ Media Art Exhibition 'Ghosts Outside the Device'
Incheon Airport is collaborating with the Art Management Support Center to host a media art exhibition, 'Ghosts Outside the Device', from July 10 to November 10.
The exhibition will showcase video and installation works by 8 prominent contemporary artists based in South Korea.
This exhibition will be free to everyone visiting Incheon Airport through the large screens and exhibition spaces in the departure area.
✅ Processed 8oo million Pieces of Luggage
Incheon Airport has achieved a cumulative total of 800 million pieces of luggage processed in just 23 years and 3 months since opening.
To celebrate this milestone, Incheon Airport held an event to thank the ground handling staff with gifts.
In the future, Incheon Airport plans to provide even more efficient services through the expansion of luggage handling infrastructure and digital transformation.
✅ National Safety Travel Campaign for the Vacation Season
Incheon Airport launched a 'National Safety Travel Campaign' in collaboration with the Incheon Airport Quarantine Station for the summer vacation season.
We had distributed mosquito-repellent supplies and information materials to overseas travelers while promoting infection prevention guidelines.
